It's part of acquiring the legend

NFC Championship: Minnesota Vikings v New Orleans Saints We're seeing the most famous aspect of taking the legend.

The Clash is ringing in my head. "Should I stay or should I go...".

We've seen the Sears and Hyaundai commercials where Brett Favre takes a jab at himself for him "indecisions". It's a bit refreshing to see him take that approach.

To the Minnesota Vikings faithful, you are now observing the back end of wanting Brett Favre as your quarterback. Favre has been a Viking for one season, helped get the Vikes to the NFC Championship game, and now the real portion of Favre's season commences. Should Brett retire or return?

You're seeing the full glory of the Brett Favre package. You're seeing the uncertainty that looms for the Vikings concerning next season. Immediately following the loss in the NFC Championship game, Favre said it was "highly unlikely" that he would return. It's now just "unlikely".

Remember Vikings fans, it was your head coach that practically stalked Favre. You should all know from Favre's time in both Green Bay and New York, this was inevitable. And now we're hearing reports of Vikings players and other associated with the franchise that want Favre to return for what would be his 20th NFL season.

A few days ago, Farve posted this on his website.
"When I decided to return to the NFL to play my 19th season, I did so with some trepidation. After all, I was joining a new team in a new city, for the archrivals of the “green and gold.” And I’m not getting any younger.

I couldn’t be happier about my decision. The coaches, staff, and especially teammates who joined me in the season’s journey are true professionals, and better yet, friends. I felt completely comfortable from day one as a member of the Minnesota Vikings, and it’s a tribute to the entire organization that accepted me with open arms. It was truly an amazing experience to be a part of the Minnesota Vikings this past season.

And to the fans – those in Minnesota, in Wisconsin, and across the country – I want to express my heartfelt thanks for all of the support and goodwill that you’ve shown me, Deanna, and the girls throughout the season. It’s truly humbling to know that so many of you are pulling for us.

Regardless of what the future holds, I want everyone to know that I will cherish the memories of the past year for the rest of my life."
Indecisive to say the least. And that's exactly what has the Vikings in a bind, not knowing what the future holds not only for Favre, but for the Vikings organization as a whole. Do they pursue another QB or play the waiting game. If the Vikings wait too long, I'm afraid they will be in the exact same situation they were facing before last season.

In their zeal the to bring the Lombardi Trophy to Minnesota, many may have forgotten the total package that accompanies the legend known as Brett Favre. Some experts insist that Favre has earned this right. A minority feel that it creates a major thorn in the side.

I'm of the latter. Not out of any form of disrespect to Favre. He's bound for Canton, no question. But out of respect toward the Vikings (in this case).

Stop me when you've heard this all before.
