I know we're inundated with these things.
So much action and now, much more time as we gear up for the 2010 NFL Draft. Here's my mock with a quick hit on each selection.
1. St. Louis - Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
The Rams must "make up" for passing on Matt Ryan in '08 and Mark Sanchez in '09.
2. Detroit - Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
Not a pressing need for Detroit but hard to pass on such a gifted player.
3. Tampa Bay - Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma
The Bucs get much need help on the D-line.
4. Washington - Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State
Protect McNabb, no other reason.
5. Kansas City - Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma
Best available O-lineman fills an obvious need.
6. Seattle - Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa
Bulaga is a safe pick, but maybe a bit of a reach.
7. Cleveland -Eric Berry, S, Tennessee
Merry Christmas Browns fans.
8. Oakland - Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland
We know how much stock Al Davis puts into the combine.
9. Buffalo - Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame
Biggest need for a new regime.
10. Jacksonville - Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech
The Jags were last in sacks in '09.
11. Denver - Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama
Denver and linebackers still go together.
12. Miami - Dan Williams, NT, Tennessee
Major void filled due to age and Ferguson 8-game suspension.
13. San Francisco - Joe Haden, CB, Florida
Once thought to go to Cleveland at #7.
14. Seattle - C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson
Best offensive skill player in draft.
15. New York Giants - Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, USF
With Osi's hip still in question...
16. Tennessee - Brandon Graham, DL, Michigan
Jeff Fisher's type of guy, a motor that never stops.
17. San Francisco - Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers
Could go #9 to Buffalo if Bills don't take Clausen. Clausen could go here?
18. Pittsburgh - Maurkice Pouncey, C, Florida
Versatile O-lineman makes this a good pick...just not a sexy pick.
19. Atlanta - Everson Griffen, DE, USC
Griffen on one side and John Abraham on the other. Yikes!
20. Houston - Earl Thomas, S (CB), Texas
Played safety in college but could move to corner.
21. Cincinnati - Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma
Carson Palmer needs weapons and Gresham is the highest TE in draft.
22. New England - Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State
No Welker and Moss on last leg. Makes sense.
23. Green Bay - Charles Brown, OT, USC
No way Aaron Rodgers can take as many sacks this season.
24. Philadelphia - Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State
Philly's biggest need is filled.
25. Baltimore - Jared Odrick, DL, Penn State
Can play DE or NT in Ravens scheme.
26. Arizona - Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Missouri
Cards lost a lot on D.
27. Dallas - Taylor Mays, S, USC
Jerry Jones must be living right despite the video.
28. San Diego - Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State
No LT means grabbing the best RB.
29. New York Jets - Sergio Kindle, DE/LB, Texas
Perfect fit for Rex Ryan.
30. Minnesota - Devin McCourty, CB, Rutgers
Age and injury almost require a corner go here.
31. Indianapolis - Brian Price, NT, UCLA
Colts need more strength up the middle.
32. New Orleans - Jerry Hughes, LB, TCU
The defending champs have to work on the D.
